TEAPのライティングは何問？所要時間は？
TEAPのライティングは、TaskA,TaskBの合計2問が出題され、所要時間は70分です。
「TaskA」では、英語の長文を読み、要約を70語でまとめます。
「TaskB」では、グラフ・新聞記事・記事についての読者からの手紙を読み、200語前後のエッセイを書きます。
【初めてのTEAP】 ライティングTaskAのテンプレート
TEAPライティングの「TaskA」では、文章の要約を書きます。
TaskAでは、20分から25分しか費やせません。（TaskBのほうが大変だからです）
テンプレは４段階です。
ちなみに「要約」ですので、自分の意見（I think….など)は書きません。

TaskAのテンプレートの使い方
上のテンプレ①②③④ に当たる部分に線を引き、文章を抜き出してまとめていきます。語数は６７～７３語くらい。
上の①～④のテンプレ通り文章を書くと、自然にほぼ67語～72語におさまります。
＊英語が得意な方へ・・・当記事は「TEAP初心者」のための記事となっており、[ただ抜き出す]にハードルを下げてあります。 高いスコアを採るには抜き出しでなく、文を別の表現で「言い換える」必要があります。高レベルを狙っている方には、市販の参考書「TEAP徹底トレーニング」をおすすめします。

Many scientists say that plants are good, not only for the environment, but also for our well-being. That’s why we can find plants in many offices today.
The presence of green plants makes people more relaxed and focused. Studies show that plants that are placed in workspaces improve our mood and help workers become more productive. Having at least one plant on a desk, or being able to see plants outside an office window, can make a big difference to a worker. Plants are also beautiful, and break up the sometimes dull look of a typical office. They have a type of beauty that only nature can provide. Stopping to touch or smell a plant in an office can make a person feel refreshed.
Nevertheless, it is sometimes not practical to keep plants in a business environment. Like any living thing, plants require special care, in particular water, some light, and sometimes soil replacement. It is not always easy to find the time to care for plants this way. Plants can also be expensive. In fact, companies with large numbers of plants can spend quite a bit of money on buying and maintaining them. 初心者でしたら、このような「ほぼ抜粋」の解答で十分かと思います。下線を引いたところを抜き出し、文法を意識しながらまとめます。
ただ抜き出すだけではなく、必要に応じて主語を足したり、代名詞に変換したりは最低限必要です。
【初めてのTEAP】TEAP ライティングTaskB テンプレート
TEAPライティングTaskBでは、「グラフ・新聞記事・手紙を読み、200語前後のエッセイを書け」という設問が出ます。
エッセイと言っても、難しく考える必要はありません。まず図を文で説明し、文の要約、そして最後に自分の意見をひとこと書くだけです。また語数は190語～210語で構いません。
ここに費やす時間は30分から40分です。
テンプレは４段落

TaskBのテンプレートの使い方
ライティングTaskBの設問は、２つのグラフ・新聞記事・その記事の読者からの手紙が与えられ、要約と自分の意見をまとめなさいというものです。
①２つのグラフが出題されます。折れ線グラフ、棒グラフ、円グラフとなっています。
２つのグラフはお互いに関係があります。
それぞれについて傾向（年々上がってきている increase 、下がって来ている decrease、変化がないnot much change )を書きます。
また、この年は何パーセントだったが、この年は何パーセント、、、のように、特に工夫も要らないので書いていきます。
②グラフにも関係した新聞記事が出題されます。TaskAと同じように要約します。
人物の名前と職業、そして２つの提案がそこにあるはずです。出だしは次のように書きます。

The Portland Daily
This week, the city of Portland held a meeting with local fishermen to discuss current problems in the fishing industry.
Matthew Green, a local fisherman, explained that as the number of fish declines, fishermen face many problems.
“Today,” he stated, “it is hard to catch enough fish to support families. Every year, more and more people quit fishing or move to other areas.”
Green suggested that the city consider helping local fishermen to build fish farms. Green said, “If we have farms, we could have a regular supply of fish for our customers.” he also explained that these forms would help the local economy by providing jobs as well.
Green also requested the city establish fishing free zones. This is important as fishing is one of the main reasons tourists visit Portland.
“ We feel that as fishermen, we often have to compete with the tourists,” said Green. “This means that there are fewer fish for us to catch.”
He also stated that the fish in these protected areas would be able to produce more eggs and grow the total number of fish. The city Council will consider the advice and prepare a report for next month’s meeting.

Dear editor,
My name is Mike Cross and I am a biology teacher at Portland high school.
I would like to make a couple suggestions to help our local fishermen and the fishing industry.
The most important thing to do is educate people. If local people and tourists know about the drop in fish numbers, they will start to change their activities. For example, if the city provided information to tourists, they may start to release fish instead of taking them home. Furthermore, local restaurants and shoppers would know which fish to buy and which to avoid. This alone would help protect local fish populations.
Additionally, the city must establish special zones to protect fish. Research shows that when fish have a safe place free from human activity, they start to increase their population. As one group of fish increases, other groups of fish also increase. If the city can set aside these special areas, I believe we will see a big increase in fish populations within a few years. This would allow local fishermen to catch more fish and remain in Portland. Sincerely,
